Philip A. Russel - President
Retired Founding, Managing Director of Integracare Inc., a company dedicated to providing private, high quality nursing care and nursing related services to the greater Toronto community; Trustee of the Governor General's Horse Guard Foundation, Chair and Past President of the Governor General’s Horse Guards Cavalry and Historical Society, past Chair of The Toronto Commandery Foundation and past President of The Rotary Club of Toronto-Leaside, past president of the Leaside Rotary Charitable Foundation and past Commander of the Toronto Commandery of the Order of Saint Lazarus.

Martha S. Russel - Secretary

As a nurse, educator and Retired Founding Managing Director of Integracare Inc., Martha brings her knowledge of Hospice/Palliative Care to the Foundation.  Her experience working in the Ministry of Health, and her work on more than 20 community, provincial, national and international boards and working committees has given her a vast experience from which to draw.  Within the Order of Saint Lazarus, Martha serves as the Hospitaller for the Toronto Commandery and the Vice-Chair of the National Palliative Care Project Committee.  She is also a past President of Volunteer Toronto.

Stephen Uzielli - Treasurer

A graduate of The University of Western Ontario, Steve has over 35 years of experience in the investment industry. As Portfolio Manager, Director at ScotiaMcLeod, Steve works closely with families in guiding all aspects of their financial lives. Steve is Past President of The Toronto Hunt.

Ross Reynolds - Director

Ross was chair of Universal Music and chair of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the organization that produces the Juno Awards. He is currently working part time with a startup company trying to monetize digital file sharing. He has been on various arts and service boards including the Starlight Children’s Foundation and is currently on the board of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall.

Louise Lemieux-Charles, PhD - Director

Professor Emeritus, University of Toronto at the University of Toronto was Department Chair and Interim Director of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and chaired the Academic Board of the University of Toronto’s Governing Council. She has over 75 peer reviewed publications as well as 45 published reports, commentaries and monographs. As Professor, she has taught health organization and management in both master’s and doctoral programs and conducted research in the areas of organization and system performance, the diffusion of knowledge in organizations and the effectiveness of health service delivery systems/networks.

Since 1980, she has been a member of several not-for-profit Boards including the United Way of Greater Toronto and the merged Toronto Rehab Institute. Currently she is a Board member of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Programs , North York General Hospital, the Institute for Work and Health and a member of the Research Committee of the Board, Sinai Health System and The Toronto Commandery Hospice.

Brian Cartwright - Director

Brian Cartwright graduated in 1990 from Queen’s University with a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science.

Brian joined HarperCollins Canada Publishers Ltd. in 1990 where he developed Special Markets - both domestically and internationally. In 1992, he completed the Radcliffe Professional Publishing Course (RPPC) at Harvard University and, soon after, become a Certified Sales Professional (CSP). As a visionary entrepreneur, Brian launched both Media Outfitters, Inc., in 1995, (brokering multimedia content into new channels on behalf of niche publishers) and Turn Key Concierge Services Limited, 2000-2010, serving independent seniors and executive households in Toronto, Muskoka/Georgian Bay and Florida.

In 2010, Brian successfully completed the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) course in Financial Literacy at The Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto and went on to graduate with an EMBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University, in April 2011. From 1992 to 2014, he served as Trustee of two private family Trusts and was Secretary, Director and Officer of two private holding companies. Currently, he is President and Director of Aynhoe Capital Holdings Limited.

Present and past volunteer board involvements include: Governor, Trinity College School; Cabinet Member, MCC-Toronto “Elevation” Capital Campaign; “Leader 100” Committee Member, Casey House Foundation; Past Secretary, Caughnawana F&H Club.

Kim R. Hunter - Director

President and CEO of Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel Limited, Kim has been a licensed funeral director in 1976, starting his career at Bedford Funeral Home in Toronto. He joined Humphrey, where he rose to the rank of Vice President and then Owner in 2018. He also owns the J. Scott Early Funeral Home in Milton.

Since the 1990's Kim has served on various not-for-profit Boards including: Bayview Hospice, Laughlin Centre, Toronto East General Hospital Foundation, Milton District Hospital Foundation and the Royal Canadian Military Institute.
