Board of Directors

Philip A. Russel - President
Managing Director of Integracare Inc., a company dedicated to providing private, high quality nursing care and nursing related services to the greater Toronto community; Trustee of the Governor General's Horse Guard Foundation, President of the Governor General’s Horse Guards Cavalry and Historical Society, Chair of The Toronto Commandery Foundation and past President of The Rotary Club of Toronto-Leaside, past president of the Leaside Rotary Charitable Foundation and past Commander of the Toronto Commandery of the Order of Saint Lazarus.

David A. Jarvis - Vice-President
A  partner in the law firm of  Beard Winter LLP, practicing since 1978; former member of The Ontario Board of Management for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, and the Toronto District Advisory Board; Vice-Commander of the Toronto Commandery of the Order of Saint Lazarus; the Halliburton Club (Boy Scouts), and Ridley College Association.

Martha S. Russel - Secretary
As a nurse, educator and currently Managing Director of Integracare Inc., Martha brings her knowledge of Hospice/Palliative Care to the Foundation.  Her experience working in the Ministry of Health, and her work on more than 20 community, provincial, national and international boards and working committees has given her a vast experience from which to draw.  Within the Order of Saint Lazarus, Martha serves as the Hospitaller for the Toronto Commandery and the Vice-Chair of the National Palliative Care Project Committee.  She is also a past President of Volunteer Toronto.

Stephen Uzielli - Treasurer
As Portfolio Manager, Director at ScotiaMcLeod, Steve brings over 30 years of investment industry experience to leading Highland Investment Management, a team dedicated to working closely with families in guiding all aspects of their financial lives.  Focussed on building strong relationships, they help clients work through different life stages to manage their wealth and achieve their financial goals.  Past President of The Toronto Hunt.

Colonel Keith M. Lawrence - Director
Keith retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in 2013 having served domestically and overseas for over 30 years.. His international experience, including with the United Nations and NATO, encompasses the Near East, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Southwest Asia. A member of various service organizations, Keith is currently serving as Field Operations and Logistics Manager for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). He is a past Commander of the Toronto Commandery, the Order or Saint Lazarus.

Ross Reynolds - Director
Ross was chair of Universal Music and chair of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the organization that produces the Juno Awards. He is currently working part time with a startup company trying to monetize digital file sharing. He has been on various arts and service boards including the Starlight Children’s Foundation and is currently on the board of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall.

Lucinda (Lucy) Main – Director
Lucy practises law at Beard Winter LLP, having previously worked in the Tax and Wealth Management groups of a national law firm. She advises clients on a wide range of trust and estate planning and administration matters and has obtained the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is an executive committee member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section and chair of its Statutory Review Committee; sits on the organizing committee of the Canadian Tax Foundation’s annual Ontario Conference; the Canadian representative for the International Association of Young Lawyers; and a member of the steering committee for the Toronto Public Library’s new initiative Law at the Library. She has been a member of the board of directors of the Paprika Festival, a Toronto youth-led performing arts festival, and on the organizing committee for the Toronto chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis annual gala fundraising event.
